Le Mans, Partizan win openers
A pair of Euroleague teams, Le Mans and Partizan, got the 2008-09 preseason started right on Tuesday, with defensive-minded home wins. Partizan topped BK Himik of Ukraine 58-51 as Marko Djurkovic, Cedomir Vitkovac and Strahinja Milosevic scored 11 points each. Le Mans won with fireworks as newcomer Brian Chase nailed a half-court buzzer-beating three-pointer to stop Eurocup team Cholet 55-53 in Saint Nazarie, France.
